Installation Instructions

How to install the UnrealGenAISupport plugin in your Unreal Engine project

Method 1: Epic Games Marketplace (Recommended)

  1. Open the Epic Games Launcher
  2. Navigate to the Marketplace tab
  3. Search for "UnrealGenAISupport"
  4. Click "Install to Engine"
  5. Launch your Unreal Engine project
  6. Go to Edit > Plugins
  7. Find and enable the "UnrealGenAISupport" plugin
  8. Restart your Unreal Engine project when prompted

Method 2: Manual Installation

  1. Download the ZIP file using the link above
  2. Extract the ZIP file
  3. Copy the "UnrealGenAISupport" folder to your project's "Plugins" directory
    • If the "Plugins" directory doesn't exist, create it at the root of your project
    • The final path should be: YourProject/Plugins/UnrealGenAISupport/
  4. Launch or restart your Unreal Engine project
  5. If prompted about new plugins, click "Yes" to enable them
  6. Alternatively, go to Edit > Plugins and manually enable the "UnrealGenAISupport" plugin
  7. Restart your Unreal Engine project when prompted

  2. Go to Window > UnrealGenAISupport > Control Panel
  3. Click "Start Server" to start the MCP server
  4. Connect to the server using the Chat application
  5. Start sending natural language commands to your Unreal Engine project
